Background:

Search for Common Ground (Search) is the world's largest dedicated peacebuilding organization, boasting a rich legacy since its inception in 1982. Operating across Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and the United States, Search employs diverse tools inspired by its Common Ground Approach to transform conflicts. Presently, Search is executing a visionary 10-year strategy to foster enduring change and resolve some of the globe's most significant conflicts. 

We seek to engage a reputable audit firm to carry-out the annual statutory audit of Search for Common Ground (Search) Burundi for the financial year ending December 31, 2023. The contract will be renewable for a three-year period.

The overall purpose of this audit is to give reasonable assurance of:

All income received and cost incurred in the current fiscal year are in accordance with the relevant policies of Search and are following Local laws and Regulations

Financial statements are prepared in accordance with the applicable legal and accounting framework.

There is no material error

Financial statements are free from material misrepresentation due to fraud or error

Project expenses are incurred in compliance with Donor agreements and rules and regulations

To be considered, the company has to meet at least one of the following conditions:

The auditor is a member of a national accounting or auditing body or institution which in turn is a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC)

The auditor is a member of a national accounting or auditing body or institution. Although this organization is not a member of the IFAC, the auditor commits to undertake this assignment in accordance with the IFAC standards and ethics
