THE YOUNG EAST AFRICAN HEALTH RESEARCH SCIENTISTS' FORUM (YEARS' FORUM): 

2nd COHORT CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

The East African Health Research Commission (EAHRC) is an Institution of the East African Community (EAC) established by the 5th Extra-Ordinary Summit of the EAC Heads of State on 18th June 2007. It has been established as a mechanism for making available to the community, advice upon ail matters of health and health related researches and findings necessary for knowledge generation, technological development, policy formulations, practices and related matters. EAHRC established the Young East African Health Research Scientists Forum (YEARS' FORUM), an initiative aiming to empower East African Community (EAC) young researchers to be able to shape the future of research for health in the region.

The YEARS' Forum was officially launched by the then Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania during the 7thEast African Health and Scientific Conference field in Dar es Salaam from 27th to 31st March 2019. The initiative intends to achieve a culture of research and support for young scientists in heath science. The 1st cohort of the YEARS' Forum was recruited in 2018. Most of the researchers in the 1st cohort are now post dots.

EAHRC seeks to enroll the most outstanding young researchers from across the EAC region with potential to lead and impact research for health through their initiative and innovation to be part of the 2ndcohort of YEARS' forum. The deadline for applications is 31st July 2023.

YEARS' who were part of the 1st cohort are not eligible to apply.
