ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as Communications Officer in Burundi. Working under the guidance and direction of the Country Director for the RISE project in Burundi, the Communication Officer will support the project team to coordinate development of all-project related communication materials to the RISE-Burundi team in support of the implementation of the HIV care and treatment program in Kirundo, Ngozi, Kayanza, Muyinga, Gitega, Ruyigi, Cankuzo and Karusi provinces while based at Bujumbura.

ICAP seeks highly qualified and experienced candidates to fill the Communication Officer position by March 2023. The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in strategic communications, marketing, public policy or a public health-related field and with a minimum 3-year experience in communications, preferably in an international development or public health organization.
The incumbent will have a demonstrated experience in project management for communications. The Communication Officer will also have a demonstrated ability to synthetize complex technical/scientific language for the web and other audiences/platforms, familiarity and experience with Intermediate to Advanced graphic design and layout principles, processes, and software, including Adobe Creative Cloud.
The position is contingent upon availability of grant funding.
