ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates to serve as Communication Officer – Burundi. Working under the guidance of the Technical Director based in Bujumbura for the RISE project in Burundi, the Communication Officer will support the Project team to coordinate development of all project related communication materials.

ICAP seeks highly qualified and experienced candidates to fill the Communication Officer position by December 2020. The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in strategic communications, marketing, public policy, or a public health-related field plus a minimum of five (5) years related experience in communications, preferably in an international development or public health organization and a demonstrated experience in project management for communications.
The incumbent will have a demonstrated track record working on US Government-supported PEPFAR programs including program planning, monitoring and evaluation. The Communication Officer will also have experience working effectively as a part of diverse staff teams, and contributing to successful collaborations with donors, host-country ministries of health, and civil society.
The position is contingent upon availability of grant funding.
