RECRUITMENT OF 6 DRIVERS AND 1 PLANT STOREKEEPER FOR RUSUMO POWER(RPCL)
The Regional Rusumo Falls Hydro Electric Project (RRFHP) is a project of the Nile Basin Initiative implemented by the Nile Equatorial Lakes Subsidiary Action Program Coordination Unit (NELSAP-CU) on behalf of the Rusumo Power Company Limited (RPCL) meant to benefit three neighboring countries to name Burundi, Rwanda, and Tanzania. RRFHP is expected to produce about 80 MW on the Kagera River at the Rusumo Falls Iocated on the border between Rwanda and Tanzania under a Run of River (ROR) scheme.
RPCL which was formed in 2013 and registered in Rwanda and Tanzania where the project facilities are located, is implementing the project through a public financed privately managed mechanism. Upon completion and commissioning, RPCL will operate and maintain the power plant and its associated facilities using its own staff or hire services of a Private Operations and Management Contractor.
The RPCL through NELSAP has received financing from the IDA the World Bank towards the cost of Rusumo Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract of hiring 6 drivers and 1 storekeeper for RPCL.

Job Summary | As a key
member of Rusumo Power Company Limited (RPCL), the Plant Storekeeper will
report directly to the Procurement Officer and work closely with the support
staff of RPCL. |
Responsibilities
and Duties | -Perform the key duties of warehousing. -Track corporate materials inventory, provide reports, and ensure provide reports are accurate and up to date. -Assist with the ordering and purchase of materials to ensure stock levels remain at proper levels, and the procurement of services as required. -Research material sourcing options and prepare reports for management. -Ensure ail materials ordered abide by specifications laid out by each respective ordering department. -Conduct inventory and warehouse maintenance activities (including counting and sampling) regularly as required. -Track all orders and invoices and maintain accurate records. -Attend training sessions as needed, -Other duties as assigned. |
Qualifications and Experience Requirements | -Diploma in Store Management, Store Keeping, Business Administration, Accounting and or related field from an institute of recognized standing. -Must have Five years of related experience as a storekeeper. -Specific experience at least 3 years as a storekeeper in power generation within a power Utility or for an Independent Power Producer (IPP) -Thorough knowledge of principles, techniques, and procedures of supply chain management. -Good understanding of accounting/materials management software. -Must be prepared to undertake further development of business, supply chain or leadership skills through participation in internal and external training and development. -Possess initiative and mature judgment with the ability to make and implement sound decisions. -Computer Knowledge |

Responsibilities and Duties | -Transport RPCL Staff and/or packages to and from destinations -Fulfill administrative needs, like office pickups -Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays -Use navigation applications to determine the best route -Always interact with staff professionally -Keep motor vehicle in good running condition and ready for use -Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed -Keep mileage records and repair records up to date -Time management and organizational skills to keep trace of deliveries and stay on schedule | |||||||||
Qualifications and Experience Requirements | -A valid driver license Rwanda (Band D), Burundi (B and D1) and Tanzania (B, C and D). -At least five years of demonstrated experience performed et public institution, NGOs and/or private company. -At least ordinary level certificate of secondary education -Certificate of Executive Driving Course or specialized training -Excellent navigation skills and proficiency in using navigation applications to find delivery locations -Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills -Ability to drive on the left side and on the right side safely -Motor vehicle mechanical maintenance knowledge is an added advantage -Recommendation letter of good conduct from previous or current employer -Criminal record certificate |
