About us:

Amazi Water is the primary, in-country partner for clean water projects in Burundi. In collaboration with others, we are developing a national water strategy with the goal of providing sustainable access to clean water in every community by the end of 2028.

About the Role:

AMAZI Water is currently experiencing rapid growth and are seeking a dynamic and eager Finance Manager to join our Operations Support Team.

Core Responsibilities:

Provide management of department for seamless support to all colleagues

Supervise finance team with clearly defined roles and performance objectives, and performance management

Ensure all established AMAZI Water finance processes including assurance of cash flow and liquidity

Provide coherent support to regional (field) office leaders and finance department colleagues

Proactively advise senior leadership and report to senior leadership on the strategic management of in-country financial health

Liaise with Head Office finance team for guidance and coordination as needed

Ensure smooth running and troubleshooting of payment authorization platform

Advise on audit readiness and risk management

Other administrative, office and financial support as required

Requirements for this position:

Educational level required:

University Degree level education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field such as Economics or Business Administration

Accounting Degree

Management Training

Experience: 

10 years of full-time finance experience

Familiarity with donor funded projects

Proficiency in financial management software, MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel (advanced)
