A. Key Responsibilities


  •  Develop a Sales road map according to set targets (daily, weekly and monthly)
  •  Develop new trade channel by recruiting new vendors/retailers
  •  Have a clear Market Days calendar for the trade activities
  •  Working closely with Foot Soldiers/Exclusive BAs to achieve daily activation targets
  •  Organize Sales campaigns ( Road shows) and other sales activities
  •  Recruit and train Exclusive BAs and FS in all Communes
  •  Convert EcoCash Agents and Retailers POS into SIM Cards activation POS based on the set targets
  •  Evaluate the performance of Franchises/Kiosks in the region
  •  Develop and grow EVD channel in the Region
  •  Have monthly meetings with distributors’ representatives (Sub–dealers).
  •  Having weekly target updates; meeting with the Regional Sales Representatives and Sales Ambassadors
  •  Compiles Daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports covering key performance areas and other feedback areas as may be required by the hierarchy
  •  Responsible for coordinating sales channels: Foot Soldiers/BAs, Sub Distributors, Retailers, Franchises and Solar Kiosks.
  •  Responsible for monitoring scratch card/SIM card availability in the region.
  •  Identifies any material obstacles to achieving the objectives and actions taken to eliminate these obstacles
  •  Motivates staff and create an environment conducive to high productivity and performance levels.
  •  Carries out periodic staff appraisals; give feedback to staff and manager and implement correct measures in consultation with CSO.
  •  Monitors and ensures availability of optimum stocks to reach the budgeted sales.
  •  Monitors cashiers’ daily banking activities and compiling of daily cash returns to make sure no discrepancies in collections and banking.
  •  Briefs team members on work productivity and outputs expected on a weekly basis
  •  Analyzes the region/market’s potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customer’s value to the organization


  •  Site availability (Uptime)
  •  Network coverage – coverage plan
  •  Site Refuelling (Track and monitor refuelling)


  •  Ensure visibility of ECONET brand on POS, Shops, Franchises and Kiosks
  •  Marketing Intelligence Reports (Competitor analysis and tracking)
  •  Customer engagement (Education on products & services)
  •  Trade Marketing (Wall painting, Billboards requests and updates)
  •  Any other Marketing related initiatives


  •  Handles customers and ensure satisfactory resolution of queries.
  •  At a regional level, develops and implements a staff skills development and service delivery capacity enhancement strategy for Customer Service department in consultation with the CSO
  •  Continually reviews and adjusts query resolution processes as necessary

B. Education

  •  Preferably a university degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Finance, Administration, orrelated field.
  •  Higher Diploma in Commercial Studies is also considered
  •  A Master Degree would be an added advantage
  •  Intermediate knowledge of business finance principles is essential;
  •  Professional training/certification in Sales, Marketing

C. Experience

  •  At least 3 years’ experience in Sales, Marketing.
  •  Strong understanding of Sales and Marketing management.
  •  Strong, professional written and verbal communication skills.
  •  Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  •  Exceptional time management skills including the ability to handle multiple tasks with changing priorities.
