Christian Aid is now looking to recruit a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning support our development and humanitarian work in Burundi and across Africa.


About the role

The role manages project documentation within a policy framework agreed with the Country Manager.This role will include monitoring project activities, outputs and community changes; and support baseline and evaluation processes for overall Burundi Programme quality. The role holder will engage institutional donors particularly EU, Irish Aid and other donors' communications and fundraising teams and ensure a strong link exists between our programme and advocacy.


The MEAL Officer must be able to effectively communicate Christian Aid ethos and demonstrate a quality of spiritual life that serves as an example to others.


About you

Candidate should have a good knowledge and expertise in programme management, working with institutional donors, which includes European Union / ECHO, Irish Aid and other major intuitional donors funded programs. Bachelor’s degree in international development studies, Social Sciences, Statistics, Management or other related fields. 3 years’ experience in Community Development with a focus on monitoring and evaluation. He/she should strengthen the relations between CA and other organisations. The role also requires fluency in French and English. This is one year Fix term contract subject to the performance.
