CALL FOR TENDERS FOR PROVISION OF THE CONSULTANCY SERVICES

REF: WVIB/ND/SCM/2020/08/Empowerment

World Vision International Burundi (WVIB) is launching a call for tenders for the provision consultancy service in the field of Women leadership & Empowerment coaching. This call for tenders is targeting individual or firms with the technical capacities and experience required in this area.

The consultant will be expected to deliver the “Women leadership & Empowerment coaching” sessions virtually.

Bids must be submitted electronically to the following email address:WVBRecruitment@wvi.org.

The deadline for submitting bids is August 30, 2020 at 11:59 PM (Bujumbura time). Late applications shall not be accepted.

TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR THE CONSULTANCY

  1. Introduction

In alignment with World Vision International partnership strategy to diversifying leadership, World Vision International Burundi is undertaking the initiative to empower women in discovering their potential and break through cultural barriers that hinder progressive development in their respective careers within the organization and their engagement in society at large. World Vision International Burundi works tirelessly to expand staff professional growth through capacity building, mentoring and coaching opportunities.

To empower all women in the organization to ignite passion to unleash their God given potential to be all that God intends them to be in the organization, families and greater society at large, World Vision International Burundi is seeking to engage the services of a consulting firm that can deliver “Women Leadership and Empowerment Coaching” sessions.

  1. The overall objective for the consultancy

The overall objective of the “Women Leadership and Empowerment Coaching” sessions will be, to empower women enhance leadership skills, strengthen self-confidence and develop entrepreneurial skills.

  1. Specific objectives
  • Unlocking women untapped potential for professional development and in the career ladder.
  • Develop high-potential employees to scale the career ladder and take on more responsibility at World Vision with boldness and confidence
  • Empowering World Vision International Burundi women for decision making.
  • Exploring context-specific solutions to challenges hampering women development
  • Changing the women mindsets for self-empowerment through decision making for socio-economic transformation.

The program will also explore the possibilities of pairing the women with ideal mentors

  1. Consultancy Expectations/deliverables
  • The deadline for bids submission is fixed on 30th August, 2020 at 11:00 PM
  • For the consultant who will have been awarded the consultancy, the starting date is expected to be the next day after the Purchase order is issued by the World Vision International Burundi to the consultant
  • Daily summary report of virtual engagements with the participants.
  • Final report including recommendations (actions/tools) for World Vision International Burundi to monitor the return on Investment after the coaching session.
  1. Potential consultants competing for this tender will be expected to provide:
  • Detailed consultancy cost
  • Indicate the number of working days, and number of hour per day the consultancy would take
  • Period of the validity of the offer
  • Financial bid that includes 15% withholding Tax
  • Technical bid
  • Any document demonstrating experience in similar service provision ( preferably in International Organizations)
  • Both National and International applications for this consultancy are eligible.
  • Registration of consulting firm certificate
  • Detailed physical address of consulting firm
  • Evidence of having provided similar services to International organizations
  • Indicate the media the consultant will use to deliver the sessions

Historique

World Vision travaille au Burundi depuis plus de cinq décennies.

Les équipes de World Vision ont commencé à travailler au Burundi en 1963. Leurs opérations se sont arrêtées vers la fin des années 1980 mais ont repris en 1993, en réponse aux besoins humanitaires pressants provoqués par les troubles civils généralisés. En 1995, ils ouvert leur bureau à Bujumbura.

Au cours des 30 dernières années, leur travail, qui consistait à fournir des secours d'urgence, est passé d'investir dans des programmes de développement à long terme.

Actuellement, leur personnel et leurs programmes apportent espoir et aide aux enfants et aux communautés à travers le pays grâce à un large éventail de projets intégrés et holistiques. Ils travaillent avec ceux qui sont les plus vulnérables - les pauvres et les opprimés - sans distinction de religion, de race, d’origine ethnique ou de sexe.

À ce jour, World Vision apporte espoir et assistance à plus de 1 000 000 enfants (dont plus de 40 000 sont des enfants parrainés) et à leurs communautés dans le cadre de 18 programmes de développement régional (ADP) chaque année.
