TENDER NOTICE FOR THE RECRUITMENT OF AN AUDITING FIRM

SWAA-Burundi is a non-profit association with over 30 years of experience in HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment of vulnerable populations. SWAA-Burundi works closely with its partners and other stakeholders to contribute to the achievement of the UNAIDS global targets by 2030.

Within the framework of the implementation of the Projects: Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC), Reaching an Aids Free Generation Activity (RAFG Activity), Reaching Impact, Saturation and Epidemic Control (RISE) on funding from USAID via FHI360, ICAP and Urisanze Activity with funding from USAID, SWAA-Burundi is issuing a National and International Request for Expression of Interest for external audit services of these projects for the ended fiscal year 2022.

Requirements

The Lead Consultant should be an internationally qualified auditor (CPA, ACCA, or its equivalent) with experience in donor accounting and financial management and should have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the field with experience in statutory and project auditing. The Firm should have strong knowledge and experience (minimum of 5 years) in donor account auditing. The firm should have Specific experience in international donor funds’ auditing, and USAID Accounts auditing.

The Request for Expression of Interest eligibility criteria are:

  1. The Lead Consultant should be an internationally qualified auditor (CPA, ACCA, or its equivalent) with experience in donor accounting and financial management and should have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the field with experience in statutory and project auditing. The Firm should have strong knowledge and experience (minimum of 5 years) in international donor funds’ auditing, and USAID Accounts auditing.
  2. Provide Audit Methodology, Proposed Work-plan, Curriculum Vitae for the partner, manager and key staff proposed for the audit team.
  3. References for similar audits performed within the last three years and above.
  4. Having a strong experience in auditing USAID funded project is required
  5. Any actual or potential conflict of interest in taking up this role should be highlighted.

The Terms of Reference are available at the SWAA-Burundi Headquarter located in Kigobe North East from May 2nd to May 15th, 2023 every working day before 3:00 PM. Bujumbura time 

The deadline for submitting offers is scheduled on May 15th 2023 before 3:30 PM.
