VACANCY – Sales Technical Officer

A. Key Responsibilities

Sales Technical Officer

Responsible for quotations for Internet clients

  • Do site survey
  • Liaise with BBS for fiber offers and Transmission & Finance for Internet costing

Responsible for providing technical support to customers purchasing data modems, routers, mobile phones, etc.

  • Provision of first line user support on desktop environment, Networking and Business Applications.
  • Log in reported faults or requests and escalate to 2nd line Technical Support Staff
  • Escalation (and follow-up) of long duration faults to other levels within the IT service management hierarchy
  • Analysis of performance reports and statistics in line with departmental KPI’s.
  • Training end users
  • Monitor customer query resolution and satisfaction

Responsible for WIMAX and P2P installation, troubleshoot, monitoring, site surveys, etc.

  • P2P network installation and troubleshooting
  • WIMAX network installation and troubleshooting
  • Site survey for new customer
  • WIMAX /P2P network monitoring
  • Connected car monitoring

Preparing and delivering customer presentations and demonstrations as need be;

  • Deals with all the negotiations between the company and the new clients in any way needed.
  • Follows up with individual corporate clients to make sure the sale is made and best services are delivered.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships

 

B. Education

  • A degree or Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, MIS, Electronics or related field.
  • Must have worked for a minimum of two years in a busy IT Support Environment

C. Experience 

  • At least 3 years’ experience in customer service/call centre supervisory role for a multinational company in telecommunications, strategic development in the Africa region, which 2 years must have been in a customer service management.
  • Strong understanding of user-generated content management, content marketing and reputation management.
  • Strong, professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic content creation and excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Exceptional time management skills including the ability to handle multiple clients with changing priorities.
  • Must have a valid driving license
