VACANCY – TREASURY & COLLECTION MANAGER

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop and maintain treasury strategy, policies and procedures.
  • Prepares the treasury strategy and maintains all documentation on policies and procedures relating to treasury and credit collections.
  • Supervises receipting, and ensures data is captured for all customer accounts and ensures that up to date records are maintained.
  • Authorises and confirms payments: Processing of supplier and any other payments.
  • Petty cash back office payments and reconciliations and ensures smooth replenishment of petty cash front office replenishment.
  • Supervises the establishment and maintains systems and procedures for monitoring the banks daily inflow and outflow of cash.
  • Establishes and maintains efficient banking arrangements necessary for the management of bank balances and other funds.
  • Performs bank account reconciliations, ensuring timeous resolution of identified reconciling items.
  • Coordinates Reconciliations:

–     Reconciling customer accounts

–     Bank reconciliations

  • EVD airtime stock reconciliations
  1. Manage and oversee banking relationships.
  • Tracks available balanced in the bank’s current accounts and ensuring availability to meet drawings.
  • Monitors items being lodged to current accounts and plans to ensure bank receives value in shortest possible time.
  • Approves all wires and immediate debits to the bank’s current accounts.
  • Manages stakeholders in financial institutions to add value to the business
  1. Oversees and Coordinates Credit Control
  • Ensures that all customers who receive services/products.
  • Collections of all receivables and preserve value for the business.
  • Monitors the performance of high value clients to ensure they operate within credit limit
  • Handing over of overdue accounts to collection agencies and assigning attorneys to take legal action.
  • Assessing credit worthiness of prospective customers.
  • Maintaining accurate credit records and referring any problems to Management.
  • Custodian of all Merchants POS terminal & Credit Contracts
  • Performs CVBS to Oracle EBS reconciliations.
  1. Manage liquidity and financial risks
  • Attending to and resolving customer queries with a turnaround time of 48 hours and ensures complete customer satisfaction of problem resolution.
  • Working closely with other finance managers to ensure all customers are served accordingly.
  • Updating the credit reports as and when the creditors pay up and following up on the list of creditors to maintain minimal write-offs.
  • Reports on treasury movements of finances and customer payments to maintain positive cash equivalents in the company.
  • Communicates and reports on current status of cash flow to facilitate in decision making and forecasts.

EDUCATION

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance or Related Discipline.
  • Post graduate qualifications (CA/CIMA/CIS/ACCA/CPA)
  • Corporate Finance professional qualification (e.g. CFA)
  • Master’s qualification will be an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE

  • At least 4 years working experience in similar position.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Good analytical, conceptual, and diagnostic skills
  • Computer literacy and proficiency including spreadsheets and accounting software.
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision in highly dynamic market conditions.
  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS is an added advantage.
  • Good coordination, communication, motivational and interpersonal skills
